HBHS V Team Australia

When 2 teams so rich in history come together there will be guaranteed sparks flying or in this case, a  lot of spray!! Team Australia made the off -season  pilgrimage to Huntington Beach with the philosophy to help create some fellow networking with their stateside competitors, engage their kids in some international travel and to have a well oiled machine moving into the ISA Quiksilver World Junior Championships where they will defend their  title in May, 2008 in France. Some good healthy sparring with the HBHS high school team the Aussies will then take on Team USA who are currently at the forefront of their team selection and finish their competetive work outs with the  Red Bull HS Game format which is all new to the Aus. Team.

First, lets take a look at what we know. The Australian National Team have currently won 8 of 13 ISA World Surfing Games and 3 of 4 ISA World Junior Championships most recently in 2007 the ISA Portugal event last May.  The Huntington Beach Oilers have 17 National Titles and over 30 High School League Titles under their belts. Things are shaping up to be a cracker!!

When all was said and done there was no overall winner and the morning was capped off with an Expression Session for good measure.
